The Long Answer

Why Dallas Homeowners Pick Bert Roofing

Five things distinguish Bert Roofing from the contractors who knock on Dallas doors after every hail event. None of them are slogans. All of them are verifiable. If a contractor cannot match these five on their own page, they probably should not be on your roof.

1. Still at the Same Address

Family-Owned at 10021 Cayuga Drive Since 1988

The Bert family incorporated Bert Roofing as a Texas corporation in 1988. The same family runs it today. The phone number, the office, and the family on the title have not changed. When a warranty claim comes up in year five or year ten, the same Dallas number reaches the same family at the same address.

Most of the storm-chaser contractors that knocked doors in Dallas in the last decade are no longer in business. The roofs they installed are now somebody else's problem. The roofs we installed are still our problem, and we are still here to address them.

2. Factory Certified Across the Board

The Manufacturer Warranty Is Only as Good as the Installer

Manufacturer shingle warranties have two tiers: the standard warranty everyone gets, and the enhanced warranty that only certified installers can register. The enhanced warranty covers labor, underlayment, and accessories that the standard warranty does not. Bert Roofing is certified by GAF (Preferred Contractor), CertainTeed (Master Shingle Applicator), Owens Corning (Preferred Contractor), and VELUX (Certified Installer). Each certification took years to earn and requires ongoing training to maintain.

3. A+ BBB Since 1990

Zero Unresolved Complaints

Bert Roofing has been an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau since 1990. The A+ rating is the highest possible. Zero unresolved complaints in three decades of operation. That track record does not happen by accident. It happens because the install meets manufacturer spec, the warranty is in writing, and when something goes wrong, somebody picks up the phone. 4. 12 NTRCA Golden Hammer Awards

Recognized by the Industry, Repeatedly

The North Texas Roofing Contractors Association gives out the Golden Hammer Award for outstanding work on historic homes, complex installations, and industry leadership. Bert Roofing has earned the award 12 times across multiple categories. John Edward Bert II has served as President of the NTRCA. Both John B. Bert and Dee Bert were Golden Hammer recipients for industry leadership. The awards are not promotional. They are peer-evaluated.

5. One Project Manager Per Home

From First Call to Final Walk-Through

Every Bert Roofing project is assigned to a single project manager who handles the inspection, the written estimate, the material selection, the crew coordination, the install supervision, and the final walk-through. You are not handed off between sales, production, and quality control. The person who quotes the job is the person who signs off on the job. Many of our project managers have been with Bert Roofing for 10-plus years. The continuity matters when the install needs a follow-up visit two years later. That same project manager handles every one of our services, from full replacements to small repairs.
