Bert Roofing Wins NTRCA’s 2012 “Golden Hammer” Award for Outstanding Residential Project
Bert Roofing Inc. received a “Golden Hammer” Award from the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA) for Outstanding Residential Project for the 2012 year.
For homeowners, awards only matter if they’re tied to real work. This one is. It recognizes a residential job that stood out for execution, difficulty, and results—not a routine “tear-off and replace” where everything goes according to plan.
The 2012 Award-Winning Project
The 2012 project involved the removal of a hard shake roof and the installation of a SteelRock stone-coated steel “Lifetime” roofing system.
Hard shake tear-offs can be messy and demanding. They often involve more labor, more debris handling, and more careful planning to protect landscaping, windows, and the property during removal. Then you have to build the new system correctly—especially around details that make or break a roof over time: transitions, flashings, valleys, penetrations, and ventilation.
