The M Streets developed largely in the 1920s and are known for Tudor Revival homes, along with Craftsman and other period styles. Those houses often have steeper rooflines, multiple valleys, chimneys, dormers, and other details that make roofing work less straightforward than on newer construction.
We also see conditions that come with houses of this age: original plank decking, older additions, previous repairs, and roof details that may have been changed several times over the decades. Our recent M Streets project in 75206 is a good example—the original plank deck was overlaid with 1/2-inch OSB before the new roof was installed.
